Yes it is right. Just rename it and assign your view title family to the viewport1 type.
If a template is set to a view, shouldn't the view title be set as well?
A view template governs graphics of elements in a view. A view title does not belong to the view environment, but the sheet environment, in other words, it is simply a tag of the view placed on sheet. I have a bunch of viewport types with different view title types for different wrapping lengths of the title. They need to be assigned based on how wide the views are on sheet, so using templates to control them doesn't work.
