View Types Issue - Cannot Create a New View Type for Project Browser

Typically i am able to organize the project browser by duplicating a view type within a "system family" but for some reason I cannot create a new type. I've tried multiple combinations of unchecking and checking boxes within the view template to see if that is the reason i cannot adjust here, but that is not working. Is there another way to create a view type if the "duplicate" option is greyed out?

That is being locked by the view template. Instead, create new ones that from a source not controlled by a view template.

You need to select a view in the project browser, then Edit Type to get that option.

@handjonathan  yes, thanks for checking in Jonathan. @barthbradley solution worked (THANK YOU!). I think it's important to recognize that area plans can often work differently from a project browser organization perspective. In order to move area plan views between the different "view types" in the project browser, I needed to go into the "Area and Volume Computations" dialogue box to create new family types. And its not as easy as in other drawing families such as the floor plan and section types where you can organize the view types by duplicating and creating new types - I had to make new area plan types from the drop down (as shown below) and then make sure I had the correct area plan type selected within the dialogue box. Not as simple or intuitive as other drawing types.
