View settings reverting for linked DWGs

I am linking 2D CAD files to make coordination overlays. After linking I turn off most of the layers using visibility graphics  Imported Categories tab. I then select the linked instance and Override graphics by category (by element) to make the linework a different color for each discipline. The issue is that these settings are being lost after saving/reopening and the DWG reverts back to the imported settings . I have used this workflow for years, although it might be the first time doing it in Revit 2020. Any ideas? Maybe I'll just convert to 2021.

Doesn't seem to be the case with Revit 2022.

You, however, could create a view template to hold the Import Categories VGO and re-apply it to the view incase it is lost.

Thanks. That isn't too bad of a work around. I'll see what happens when I go to 2021.
