View Range in a Family

Hi guys, does anyone know if there is a way to change the view range in a family? For an example, I’m making a dog door and it’s only 18” off the floor and the view range is up too high for the door to show up on the reference plan. Thanks guys!

Or simply change the view to wireframe.

That solution is fine as long as you don't have anything else that it messes up.

For future reference...if you DO have anything else that it messes up...you need the ability to only change the view range in a specific area or around a specific element. For that purpose we use the View > Create > Plan Views > Plan Region tool.

@Anonymous was talking about the View Range in the Door Family, not in a project.  Changing it does not affect the View Range in the project.  Also, Plan Region is not available in Family environment.
