View filter linked model

Hello,

I rebuilt my Arch model and linked it in to the central site model, rather than building directly in the central file.

I am trying to apply a graphics filter that pretty much has the effect shown (the red markup is just to hide details from the internet):

I would like everything that is selected in the view (the entire linked Arch model) to appear as greyed or hatched out for this set of plans, so that only the site is visible.

I'm not quite sure how to set up the graphics settings. Any ideas? Thank you for the help.

I figured it out for now. I multi-selected every model category and overrode the cut and projection patterns. Is that the best way to do it?

- Open the link Arch model, create a view and override every category to how you want to look in the Site plan in he central model, name the view properly so you know what it is, save the file.

- Open the central model, reload the Arch link.

- Open the Site plan view, VG > Revit Links tab > change Display setting of the Arch link to By Linked view > select the View you created above.

Now the challenge is to set up the inverse of this. So that only elements outside of the link appear greyed out. That is proving to be more difficult and I would welcome any insights.

Set the visibility graphics of the linked Revit project to grey by enabling the Halftone button in the view.
