Vector Printing and Transparent Hatches

Other than printing as a raster image, is there a solution for how to print solid transparent gray hatches as a vector image?  This seemed to work in earlier realeases (2014), but is becoming a major issue for our firm with 2015 and 2016 as we use a transparent gray hatch to indicate existing construction.  We prefer the Vector print method so that we can use 3rd party software to dimension to the PDF, import it into Adobe products for graphics, etc.

Hi, Thanks for the question.  Can you verify the rest of the settings in your view? Transparent hatch should not force raster printing.  Do you have consistent colors set, or shadows?

Thanks

I am not implying that Revit swtiches automatically to Raster mode when a solid gray transparent hatch is present, but it is the only way to get our gray hatches to print correclty consistently.  Honestly, I have no understanding of why it works on some prints and not on others.  Attached are examples of the vector vs raster print modes for a current project as an example.  File A0.01 is printed as a raster and A0.01-V is printed as a vector and the difference in printing of the gray hatch is pretty clear.

Print settings are the same for both prints, no colors or shadows, printed as color set to grayscale.  In terms of the view settings, it is fine detail, hidden line, shadows off.

Wow, ok that was not expected, can i get a copy of the project?  I work on the development team that owns printing, so this would be great example to work with the development team.

Thanks

Sure I can send you one of our projects as an example.  Can you e-mail me with how you would like me to send it directly to you?  My e-mail is clegiadre@amentaemma.com

Thank you,
