URGENT!! Section and Layer symbols are blue

Hi guys,

I still have the problem with the ends of my section line and the layer signs. They are blue on screen and also print blue sadly. Ive looked in the object styles, in the family and came up with nothing sadly. I have to hand it in on Tuesday so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

When you go to print, and click on the Setup options, there is a tick box to "View links in blue". This will Print/PDF all section heads, level heads etc. in blue (as shown on screen) 

If you un tick this option, the section heads will print whatever colour they are set to be in the "Manage " tab > "Object Styles" > "Annotation Objects"

By default they will print black with this option un ticked but you can change the colour to w/e you want.

Well Ill be damned. It seems that it was that actually. But its weird that revit still shows it as blue though, Quite confusing 😄

Now that I have you 😉 Do you know how it comes that my renderings are black all of a sudden? I have no clue how to change it. Is there a setting or something where its guarenteed that therese some light or anything like that?

No problem

Yeah, the link will stay blue on screen to indicate it is referencing a view in the project.

Your renders will require some lights to be placed in the room if you are doing internal renders with the lighting scheme set to "Artificial" (an option in the render window that pops up when you click "Render"). If you set the lighting scheme to one of the "Exterior Sun" options it will use the Sun and time of day to cast light through windows etc. If its set to one of the "Artificial" options then it will need lights to properly display inside a building.

Also, it may sound daft, but make sure your cameras are not inside walls or any other object in the view.

I have the box unchecked - and it is still printing blue.  Funny thing - it's print blue for one sheet - and then black for another sheet (when printing multiple sheets together).
