Units Format Rounding

Hi,

Is there a way to set the rounding rules for Revit?

I have a project where the height is a touchy issue.

The client wants the heights in section to be in meters with one decimal.

The standard in Sweden is that trailing 5's are rounded up but Revit rounds them down.

I include a screen snip to illustrate. Our height is 51.45 meters. If I set the Units Format Rounding to 1 decimal it will round it down to 51.4 though I would like it to round up to 51.5.

Thank you for any input or suggested solutions.

hi @Anonymous,

In my case, i just checked, Revit does round up.

So, your real height must be something like 5.4498, and it already rounds it to 5.450.

Just make sure your REAL height is EXACTLY 5.4500 and you will see that it works.

FYI, use the temporary cotations to enter REAl values when drawing/moving elements!

Here is an illustration of that case:

Next one will round down to 4.4...

Thank you @FGPerraudin

Yes, adding 8 decimals it turns out my level isn't excatly 51.45.

Now I'll have to face a new problem: how to specify my level height with 8 decimals since it seems it will only accept 1..   😉

Well, you need to use the temporary cotations to enter values when drawing.

About levels, just enter by hand their altitude, and then try not to move them ( I personnaly pin them...)

When arriving from another software, i.e. VectorWks or AutoCad, you need tu adjust your methods for drawing, and rely much more on inputing by hand the main / most important measurments!

In your case, select the level, click on the altitude value and enter the exact one,

It should do the job....
