Units change when exporting to PDF

I send all of my drawings to clients as PDF and would like my clients to be able to use the measure tool in Acrobat Reader to add dimensions and measure off my drawings.

This does work but the PDFs default to inches even though all my units are set to metric in Revit (I am using Revit LT).
Does anyone know how to set the export so that the units when measuring in Acrobat Reader will match those in Revit?

(I know that it is possible to change the units and precision settings in Acrobat Reader when using the measure tool but this is fiddly and probably beyond the computer skills of some of my clients)

You have to set the units in the PDF reader (like under the Preferences or Options or whatever it's named) - it's not a Revit problem.

It might not be a Revit problem, but it's my problem!
It would be really nice if the exported file could have the units set to match those in Revit, I assume that there is some tag in the PDF standard that could be written to set the units?
It's just a bit too fiddly to expect some of my clients to be able to do

Revit doesn't change the units when printing to PDF, so the Units set in the Revit project are also used in the PDF. It's just a matter of setting the units in the PDF reader, Acrobat in this case. I don't use Acrobat, but maybe this will help: How to change page unit in Adobe Reader DC (ccm.net)

Hi, I know how to set the units from within Acrobat but it would be nice if the correct units could be embedded in the pdf file when revit exports so that PDFs don't default to the wrong units when measuring.
My issues is that I am able to set the units in Acrobat but I know that this would stump some of my clients completely who are not very comuter literate. But they would greatly value being able to measure off the drawings without having to ask me to add dimensions for them

As far as I know, there's no way for PDF Readers to retrieve the units format out of a PDF document. See this article for more information.

If your customers are completely computer-illiterate, I would sent them a hard-copy.
