unexplained colour on floor

ive been given a job to edit a revit project and i found this floor which has a "subregion" on it! (the brwon part)

i cant find anyway to understand what is that "sub region and how to edit / cancel it..

what is it?

it looks as he used Split Face and Paint.

In order to  come to initial , just select the split line and erase it.
