Unexpected representation behavior when loading windows with nested families

I have been recently working on some new window families for our firm. The frame is built as an extrusion in the window family, while the panels, interior and exterior sills are modelled as nested. The exterior sill is shared as I wanted it to cut walls in a certain way. The issue is that when I first load the window in a project, it seems that the sill has the wrong size, until I place the family when the size is correct. Has anyone else experienced that or know what could possibly the cause be?

Thanks for your help!

When a shared nested family is first loaded into a project, Revit may initially display the wrong size due to a temporary mismatch between the family’s instance parameters and the project environment. Once the family is placed, Revit recalculates and adjusts the geometry to fit the project conditions, which could explain why the size corrects itself.
