Unexpected door appearance legend component

Anonymous

Hi everybody,

I would like to create a Legend with all different types of door in my project.

However, some types are not showing properly (see attached picture). There is a strange kind of masking region in the middle that does not exist in my floor plans (only in legend components).

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

I am completely lost.

Thank you in advance.

Can't open your family right now, but it may be related to the fact that windows are doors families are not actually cut in the project. Instead they are cut in the family based on the cut plane defined in the Family's plan view.

Ooops!

I'm so sorry. It was simply the lenght of the detail component host (wall too short)

Thank you.

I'm not following the solution. There is no detail components in the family you posted. Did you post the wrong family?

That is the host wall in the door family.  I always turn off walls category for Door/Window Legend views for the exact reason.

@Anonymous  Off topic but did you notice the hinges for the right panel aren't correct?

Yes, some things in that door family are... unusual... The hinges on the right are different from the ones on the left. Any reason for that? One door has a handle, the other one does not. The symbolic lines in elevation are in the opposite way. Anyway...

Ah. Yes you are both right.

I had not noticed!

I'll correct it.

Thank you.
