Understanding Registery Keys for Revit

I'm struggling to find any information on Registery Keys for Revit. I've been installing/uninstalling Revit numerous times trying to get a deployment right and I've broken it. Now When I open a project/family I have to save it before closing. I cannot Not-Save when closing.

I have a feeling this is a Registery Key issue. I'm sure I can delete them all during an uninstall, but this brings up an issue that seems to have no knowledge base online.

Can Autodesk please post a document on understanding the Registry Keys for Revit?

Cheers,

a repair or clean uninstall/reinstall should fix your registry issues.

One more idea for the situation that you cannot save the family files: if you have installed Site Designer please uninistall/ deactivate it. In the past we have seen some similar cases, where this AddIn was responsible for this behavior.

It didn't.

I would have to delete the keys. Which is fine. But I'd prefer to edit the keys to fix the issue and not uninstall/reinstall again.

This worked. I disabled the addin here: C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\

by renaming the extension to donotload. It worked.

Thank You.

I would still appreciate some documentation on Registery Keys.
