Unable to see model lines in section or elevation views

Hi,

I am unable to see model lines in my section or elevation views. I am trying to draw them based off a reference plane in these views but have tried view/visibility options and revealing hidden elements. Please help!!!

Hi,

Are your model lines really model lines? I know the question can be offensive, but if the lines are detail lines, they will be visible in the view where they were drawn.

Also, model lines are drawn in a level, for some reason, lines tend to be drawn in the lowest level; for instance when drawing model lines in a ground floor plan, the lines ended up drawn in the foundation level.

Additionally, if you are working with worksets, the lines may belong to a workset not visible in your elevations/sections.

Reaveling hidden elements not always shows everything that has been hidden. If the elements are hidden using a filter in your visibility graphics, they are not revealed when clicking on the lightbulb.

You will have to set as your workplane a reference plane or planar surfare (such as the side of a wall) that is perpendicular to your view. If you want it to be a reference plane, then you need that reference plane to be named, so that it will show up in the pick-a-plane dialog box when you use the Set Work Plane tool.

Draw a reference plane while in plan view that will be perpendicular to the section or elevation that you want to draw model lines into. Name that reference plane. Make sure it falls within the extents of that section or elevation view.

Then go into that section or elevation view, Set Work Plane, and pick the named reference plane from the list. Then draw your model lines on it.
