Unable to load family files into Revit 2017.2

I am not able to load family files into Revit 2017.2, even through the Insert - Load from Library - Load Family tab. We are working on a product that requires steelcase products so need to be able to load these into a project.

Either that, or remodel it as a door family. CTRL-C the siding panels and frames to separate door families, nest them into a door family. Dumb down the parameters as much as possible. Keep it simple.

Curtain wall doors only work in curtain walls.  You simply change a curtain panel to that door type and the door will be placed.  Are you trying to insert it in a regular wall instead?

By the way, there are no disadvantages of using curtain wall doors if you use them properly.  Changing materials and the likes can be done just as easily as with regular door families.

If you can share the family then I can take look.

The only way I can see is select a bunch of section views from the browser and change the value for them at once.

Edit:  For what it worth, I personally prefer the way Revit currently does it so that the smaller scale plans aren't infested with a bunch of section lines.  Things work out better if you plan ahead where they should appear and what scale they should be.

I think I finally understand it. So this Steelcase system has walls and doors and end caps etc. So since they are under the curtain panel category. I must first create a curtain wall, separate them into the panel size associated with the door or wall size I want, then select that specific panel and change the type to that specific door or wall? Instead of trying to create the doors/wall as a curtain system themselves, in order to be able to edit materials and other properties like size, etc. Does that sound correct?

Yes that sounds like a good workflow.

By the way, I messed up the previous post with something completely irrelevant.  Below is what I untended to attach to demonstrate changing the material of those doors.  At least the screencast was correct.
