Unable to get proper room volume with sloped roof

I am having an issue with creating the correct volumes for rooms that have sloped roof/ceiling. I have had similar conditions (sloped or vaulted roofs) in other projects and haven't encountered this issue.

Here it is: the room boundary can't be changed with control grips (in section). There are no control grips on any of the room boundaries. The rooms are computing the volumes, but not going up to the desired height. So in one situation the room height goes up to 9' (picture an attic) and it intersects the roof/ceiling where it is bound and sloped - but above 9' it won't extend. I have it constraints of the level set beyond where the room boundary height is.

At my witts end with this one! And need the correct volumes for gbxlm export/energy modeling.

you have to verify:

• if the floors,ceilings, roofs you use have the Room Bounding option checked
• verify from Architecture > Room and Area > Area and Volume Computations > Volume Computations - Areas and Volumes is checked
• from a section or an elevation view select the Level Line > Properties > Dimensions > Computation Height - choose the  height at which the calculation will be done

Thank you for the help. All of your suggestions are items I have already
checked. I have opened a new project and simulated the same condition and
the same issue exists. I am working in Revit 2016. The issue is that in
section view there is no way to adjust the height of the actual room. Not
where the volume is calculated. Picture a 2 story vaulted space. The room
boundary height is stoping at the second floor and I can't find a way to
make it go to the upper most level. If I go to Level>properties>constraints
and choose a level above the second floor - it doesn't adjust the overall
room height boundary. In past versions I have been able to simply grab the
grips on the room boundary and adjust the height manually -but there are no
grips on the room boundary!

Any thoughts on why there aren't controls on the room boundary? As I said in previous versions of Revit I have had no issue changing the height of the room boundary graphically.

I've made a test in Revit 2016 and it seems to be ok.....Maybe your version is not up to date....check the Autodesk Application Manager to look for the last updates....

If it does not work...try to post an excerpt from your file that ontains the problem..

I think your are right there is something going on with my Revit 2016 version...I have had various issues with it since install. Good to know the control/grips should be there!

I did a test in Revit 2016 and I have no problem grip stretch a Room on an elevation view.

If roof or ceiling is slanted to see it properly -> Architecture->Room Area->Area and volume computation and check "Areas and Volumes"
