UI prompt when opening/loading families

Hello, what is the best route to take if someone wants a UI prompt when opening or loading a new family.

The intent is that this prompt will show a short description as to what the latest updates were made to the family.

Is this possible within revit itself or would this be a 3rd party program?

Thanks!

Hi.

This would be something that you will have to achieve via programming using the API.
There are 3rd party content managers that might give you the information (not auto prompt). Autodesk will be coming out with Content Catalog as well later this year hopefully. https://unifilabs.com/cc
You might want to ask in the Revit API forum https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-api-forum/bd-p/160
you can also review EVENTS handling https://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2024/ENU/?guid=Revit_API_Revit_API_Developers_Guide_Advanced_Topi...

Hope this provides guidance to what your are trying to achieve.
