Typical profile perpendicular to the long profile

Hello to all,

I want to model a gutter based on a long profile line with a typical profile. 

The problem is that I can't place my typical profile perpendicular to the long profile in 3D to extrude after. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

If you use a profile family instead of a profile by sketch then you can simply drag it to the segment of the sweep path you want.

The polyline in relation to which I want to position the profile type is created with a generic metric model (adaptive) and the profile is created with the same family in order to be able to put insertion points. I manage to position it parallel but not perpendicular

The sweep Profile. I don't understand why you can't place it perpendicular to the Sweep Path.  Is this about Viewing Angle? In other words,  you want to place or draw the Profile in a 3D View that is oriented to the Profile Plane.  You can do this in Sweep Edit Mode by Right-Clicking on the View Cube and pressing Orient to Plane =>Profile Plane.  If you are using a Profile, note the Horizontal, Vertical, Angle and Flip Parameters under the Profile's Instance Properties.  Play around with those.

Yah, it sounds like something that can be fixed via those profile properties I mentioned above. No?

- Create the profile either as an adaptive generic family with one adaptive point (A), or a generic work plane based family (B)

- Load (A) in the path family and place on node

- or Load (B) in the path family and host it by the cross work plane of a reference point placed on the path

If you want to draw the profile directly in the path file, place a reference point on the path, set it planes to always show, the draw the profile on the cross plane of that point.
