Two users are changing the same object in revit

We have a slab that is pinned and on a segregated workset with a user called "locker" that is currently owning that object ("Edited by Locker") - and never relinquishes those objects in that workset. It's not possible to normally edit the boundaries of that slab, not even for the user "locker" - because it's pinned. However, the slab boundary is being changed by any other user by moving a wall that aligns with that boundary.

So here goes a few questions:

• How is that possible that 2 users can edit simultaneously the same slab?
• Why no warning is displayed when a user changed an object owned by another user?
• Why a user that do not control another workset, can change objects in that workset?
• How is it possible that changing a wall changes a pinned slab? What sort of rules and priorities are in place that overrule the fact that the slab is pinned and owned by someone else?
• Are there other relations between objects in revit that override pin/owned objects?
• How can we effectly prevent that an object is changed? That building part is built, and we are already segretating into a separate workset. Do we have to place it on a linked file?

Two users cannot edit the same element simultaneously. What has likely happened here is that the Sketch Lines in the Profile for the Slab are constrained or otherwise associated with the Wall that was moved. So, in essense, when the Wall is moved it would actually be more like modifying the Family if these constraints were not maintained.

Pinning the element prevent it from being moved, but the Sketch Lines within it can be moved to accommodate the constraints upon it. Say a Floor was drawn and a Sketch Line was constrained to 12" from a Wall, and then the Floor is Pinned. If the Wall were to be moved, The interior Sketch Line would follow the Wall, but since the Floor itself is not moving, the Pinning has no effect. Now, if you were to instead finish the Sketch and then constrain one side to the Wall and Pin it, then moving the Wall could not be done without breaking the constraints.

Having a separate Link would work. But you should be able to remove the constraints of the Slab so it, or its Sketch Lines, won't move. This should be theoretically be possible by editing the Profile of the Slab (with the "Locker" user, of course), selecting all of the Sketch Lines, Cutting to Clipboard, and Pasting to the same place.
