Two-sided gambrel roof

Hey guys,

Could anyone explain how to do gambrel roof like this? I already tried with " roof extrusion" but you cant make two diff sides , and if you make them separately then you can't joint it as well.  

Any suggestions/ life hacks?

One way of doin it is by 2x roof by extrusion, then make an inhouse roof void (model in place) and cut the openings U need.. 🙂

Multiple ways to create this.  One way is creating a mass of that shape and roof by face.

Yeah it can be done, create the main as two roof by footprint one with a cut off and one starting at the cut off, then roof by extrusion to create the side roof, then create an opening by face in the main roof and attach the walls to the extruded roof.

or like @Adrian5D said create two roof by extrusion, and create a vertical cut in the longer roof. Then attach the wall to the roof

Do you understand how it will be constructed in real life?  I'm seeing it as a top roof over a bottom roof (with cutoff).  Maybe seeing it the same way will help you model it.

you can use Roof by Footprint , No Slopes and Shape Editing> Modify Sub Elements
