Two of the same building - one site

I am trying to help a coworker solve an issue regarding his construction set where he has two of the same building, on one site. They are the same construction type, similar size, etc. The problem we are running into is we'd like to create these sets in the same base project while having two different addresses, respectively, on their titleblocks. Since the address is project specific, without creating a separate file with a different address, I don't know a legitimate way around this. 

My not-so-great way around this was to copy the titleblock family into two instances and paste the number in there, which isn't ideal. 

I'm sorry if this is confusing! I'd appreciate any help you're able to provide. I've attached a quick screenshot from an earlier CAD layout.

I would ask the question why do you need to keep them both in one project? 

• You mentioned the drawing sheets with address need changing. That is a bespoke family which will need creating.
• Scheduling the elements won't be easy either. You will need to number everything per building to schedule correctly
• If the levels are different how do you show them? 
• What about the gridlines.

There could be more work to keep them in one file than it is to create two. Would you could do, is set up two projects. One which is the main file and the another which can be linked in so you can create site plans, etc.

Sounds like you are saying that you want to produce two identical submittal sets, but for two different jurisdictions/project locations from one project, and you are stymied because the Titleblock Labels are pulling Project Information?  There are workarounds, but why don't you just copy the Project and change the Project Information of the copy?

These are not the same building.

The grids are different, as the length and depth are different.

The dock has different door locations, which means there are different stair locations, which means different life safety egress routes...

I could keep going, but I would absolutely treat these as two separate projects.

At best you could create a common sheet that includes details for both sets.

@katie  - Create a Shared Parameter for the 2nd address, assign it to Project Information. Give the different sheets their own titleblock family which shows the new parameter as the Project Address.
