Hello. For my project I have to present a "simple 3d model", without details and openings, but I also need a 3d model of the same buildings with windows and details, to make perspective views. Both need to be changed every week, according to the requests they make to me. How could I have the "simple model" changes also applied to the "model with details"?

What kind of changes? Like the building envelope? For example:

  1. You can model the Course Detail as a Mass / Conceptual Mass Model
  2. Load the Conceptual Mass into Main Building model - normal Project Environment
    • use the faces to place walls
    • mass floors use Floor by Face to create floors
    • Every time you updates the mass, Reload it into the main model and use Update to Face...

Here is a quick example - A cube in Conceptual mass model was loaded into a Project Model and used to create walls and floors with a couple of doors and windows. When the mass was updated the walls and floor were updated in the main model to the new faces of the modified cube. - You have to note, if the conceptual mass is given an extreme makeover (Such as switching vertical faces to Inclined faces, the wall in the model will not update to the new situation (the vertical walls will need to be deleted and new walls by face will need to be added
