Trouble Opening My Revit File

I have a Revit file (2014) that I used for rendering a townhouse project that will open but will buffer and stop responding once I click on something. Before I didn't have this problem. I'm using a PC with 32 GB installed RAM. The file is 63.7 MB. I suspect the file is just too large and has way too much loaded into it. I'm wondering if there is any possible hope of recovering it.

are you trying to upgrade the model to a newer version of Revit?

I would also recommend setting your Default View to a Floor plan or the Site plan instead of the Rendered view.

No. I'm trying to open it so I can re-render after making a couple of changes. I made a separate file for the actual townhouse and linked it into this file (the site).

Well this isn't for personal use. This is at my job in an architecture office.
