Transferring Project Standards from Rvt LT2024 to LT2025

I have recently upgraded to Revit LT 2025 and when I try to transfer the project standards across from LT2024 I always get a fatal error and the program closes.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

open the Revit LT 2024 project file, audit it and purge unused before transfering project standarts

Try to convert that 2024 file to 2025, save it, and then transfer to the 2025 project file.

Revit Version: R2026.5
Hardware: i9 14900K, 64GB, Nvidia RTX 2000 Ada 16GB
Add-ins: ElumTools; Ripple-HVAC; ElectroBIM; Qbitec

I am having the same problem. Audited, purged and saved recipient project file. Upgraded and audited donor file. Still getting fatal error. Any other ideas?

I decided to transfer in chunks and isolated two items that caused the failure:
* Building Type Settings
* Space Type Settings
Your mileage may vary but worth a try

Ideally that shouldn't crash Revit but...with changes in 2025 that might conflict with 2024 you should be selective about which standards to try to transfer, don't do them all. Also as another suggested, upgrade the file to 2025 before using TPS will help.
