Transfered file doesn't work

My collegue has a problem with the file I've sent her.
I transfered her my furniture library (families I built myself) via Sharepoint to proofcheck them in her interior architecture project. She saved the file on her local storage to use it offline.

Now half of the objects are broken. They can't be turned and if she inserts them into her project she can't do anything with them. We curently deleted the family out of her project in order for them not being random dead objects, but she can't work with them. The confusing thing is, that other objects work just fine.

I checked the file I've sent her and it worked. I use Revit 2022 and she uses 2022.1 (maybe that's the reason?).

Edit: Update to the problem in  in message 4 and 10 - the tranfered file is fine. My collegue somehow broke her own project file, because we are not able to reproduce the problem in a new file.

Iam not sure what happens. You mentioned that you send her your furniture library. But then you write "She saved the file", so a single file? So what have you sent exactly, several .rfa files, or...?

What do you mean by broken? Does she get error messages? Is the only problem "turning" (do you mean rotating?)?

What and how does she load it in her project?

Maybe...you have send her a project file with all your families included? Then she has linked that file in her project and can not do anything with it?

The revit version should be no issue. Everything in a major Revit version (2022, 2022.1, 2022.2 and so on) will have the same file format.

Rotating the furniture is not the only problem. As soon as she import one of the broken families into her project she can't select the objekt. That's what I meant with "dead object". You can see it but you can't interact with it. She doesn't get error messages either.

She just opened the families from my project and imported them into her project. The two project files aren't linked.

The thing is, that the problem with not being able to rotate the object starts in her copy of the library, but she's able to select the objects. So the error starts in the copy. It only gets worse with importing them into her project.

We found out some solution but the objects are still broken.

So the problem with the rotation was due to some wrong check in the rotation settings, which we now removed.

We also found out, that she can select the objects and interact with them, but only in a 2D view and not in 3D.

Which is great but still weird. They are also only depicted in wireframe optic in 3D, even if we choose a different grafic style.

Almost sounds like a Graphics Card issue.  Disable Hardware Acceleration?

How would I do that? And isn't this a bigger thing to do? I don't know if I'm allowed to change it on our companies laptops.

We tried that out and restarted Revit, it didn't work.

How did she "import" your furniture from the RTE to her project?  Why did you add another level of complexity by saving your library as an RTE, and not a RVT?

Ask her to turn on Site > Internal Origin, un-crop the view and to do a Zoom Extent, see how far the model extent is from the Internal Origin.  Maybe turn off CAD link / import and see what happens.

She imported it with these buttons: (I can only guess the english translation, so my translations might not be accurate)

I didn't save it as a .rte-file myself. The project was given to me with the task to put my furniture in there, so I didn't question it. (not that I know the difference anyways...)

We also found out, that the problem is with my collegues file and not my furniture families. We were able to narrow down the impacted families as well. It's the families with organic forms which we imported from the manufacturers and just alterated for our needs and not the self-built families.

We checked the original project file (the draft which our planners use to start their projects with) which works just fine. So somehow our collegue broke her file while working on it. The internal origin is 2 or 3 meters next to her building, so the distance is not the problem.

We are at the point where we will probably just let her copy her layers/grid/walls into a new project file and retry adding the furniture. Although it would be interesting to know what's the error for future reference.
