Toposurface - Sketch Curved Topo lines

I need to create a gradually rising topography as shown here:

The main objective is to do this with curved lines and not individual points. This will ensure a neat surface with controlled topo lines. What is the best method to accomplish this?

Why a Toposurface? Why not geometry such as Floors?

Believe it or not, this is a Toposurface:

Done by Exporting Mass to DWG and then inserting DWG into Project and creating Toposurface from Import.

I am the OP.

I'm sorry, this is not a stepped topography. It is a hill. What I want here is a smooth controllable surface. The way I have made topo's in the past (I have made plenty), is with points. However, points require an extreme amount of time and are difficult to move precisely as a group after being placed.

The split line looks like a great tool to quickly raise/lower the topo, but I don't see any curved split lines. It looks like it is not possible to make curved split lines. If this is the case it looks like points are still the main method to shape the topo.

Can I not use model lines at different elevations? This means I can have controllable contours. If points are the only way to create contours and it still creates the jagged, triangular surfaces, then the topo tool is still pretty lame right now, do you agree? I was hoping the upgrade would have solved these issues.

Thanks for the link, but this is 12 years old. Is this still the best way to achieve controllable curved surfaces?

So, just to be clear, @BigPicture045 and @rhettinger are the same person?

Okay, whatever. Why does it have to be a Toposurface?

So what if it's 12 years old?  Toposurfaces are a lot older. Maybe not as old as dirt though.  😉

Can you define what you mean by "controllable". Do you mean parametric?

Sketching topo lines can be done with the Environment plugin for Revit.

You can also create a separate surface for each height band since the outline of the topo surface can be any shape
