Toposurface Editing and creation of detailed Roads

Hello everyone,

I have no idea if this topic has already been highlighted. If so please link to another thread.

I have a big scale master plan drawing on CAD with various sections of roads in different dimensions, such us ( 11m, 12,80m, 22m , etc etc ). So I went through and I imported the CAD in my revit project. Then I created the toposurface from the imported cad file.

What I want to do is to work on the toposurface (since the roads have different elevations) , and create in detail all the sections of the roads and show the carriageway, the curb, the gutler, the sidewalk, the shoulder  etc.

I would really appreciate your help . My site is really huge and I want to be sure that I won’t make any mistakes and that it works correctly.

I am working on Revit 2020 , Windows 10 Pro , 64-Bit

Thank you,

Christos

When creating new roads, using Site Designer is a good start.

I think you will find this type of work extremely challenging in Revit. I would suggest doing this kind of work in Civil 3D and then linking the surfaces in via "Link Topography" workflows.
