Adding Sheets (titleblock) to a Revit Family.

I know you can take the family inside a project and then put it on a sheet, but my problem is, for example a "furniture family", cannot be cut with sections and be shown properly inside a project (specially for custom made furniture). I know workarounds like "changing the family from furniture to Generic Model, etc.) but this will effect the schedules and I hate doing another workaround for schedules!!

So Here's the question again:

How can I have a sheet in a family so I can put views (plan, section, elevation, 3D view) of the family inside the family itself and always have it ready for printing?

Any better suggestion would be appreciated.

Hello @posravishtasp thank you for the question!

As you have found there are some family categories which are cut by the cut plane About Cuttable Families and there are other family categories which are not cut by the cut plane About Non-Cuttable Families.

If you are looking to change the category to make it cuttable, the Casework category sounds like it would fit better, and would be easier to schedule separately compared to using the Generic Model category.

Regarding having a sheet within a family, while some families do have sheets (Titleblocks for instance), in families with 3D geometry I have not found an option to create sheets.

You are looking at "workarounds" all wrong.  Revit is just a toolbox.  Nothing more.  If you've found a way to use Revit in an undocumented way to accomplish your task, then go for it!

Thank you very much for the reminder about the "wrong" understanding of me regarding the workarounds, but still, your answer did not help the question. Thank you anyway.

Thanks a bunch spending some time reading my request. I do hope some day minor limitations like this are solved. I mean, there is no pain at all in making a 3D family printable on sheets by its own (without being loaded into a project).
