Toposurface cut pattern

Is there a way to change the toposurface cut patterns?  I want the fill beneath the building pad to be a gravel fill or 45 degree earth fill instead of the earth fill.  Also is there a way to change the relative "height" height of a toposurface so it "rests" on an existing topo surface?

Thanks,

AAron

You need to create a 45 degree cut pattern for Earth.  You can do it via pyRevit, HatchKit,  Pattycake.io, or edit the .pat file.

Regarding a new topo over an existing topo, use Grade Region and assign different Earth material to new and existing topos.

thank you, I am not able to assign any new patterns to the toposurface though.  I have tried changing them but it is not working.  It starts earth and I have tried assigning it to gravel but it still shows up as earth.  I want the area above the blue line below the gravel pad to show up as a different pattern.

It is not changing it.   Does it actually change on yours?  Image is taken after I changed it and pressed ok then went back into the material editor.

As you look at this you can see the graded pattern is also in the earth pattern.  Is there a way you can just have the bottom of the new upper grade / fill stop at the top of the existing grade?

Did you ever figure this out, I've been wanting to do the same thing.
