Substitute for BlueBeam?

Can anyone suggest a pdf markup program with the functionality of Bluebeam:  markups, layers, etc etc.    Bluebeam crashes on my computer, Ive spend dozens of hours with them trying to diagnose, to no avail.  I think I have to just give up and try a different program.   For some reason they insist on email contact only and won't screenshare in to see if they can chase it down, I've followed all their instructions, nothing works.

Thanks.

We switched to PDF XChange about a year ago, but that was for cost purposes, not anything to do with the program itself.

As far as I can tell, it has most of the same functionality, but the standard UI looks a little dated. It does seem a little slow with large PDFs. Pages can take a second to load.

Are you sure there isn't an issue with your computer itself? Whatever issue your having with Bluebeam could just carry over to another program.

We have been using BB for many years on many different PCs and no problems. Majority of users here have way underpowered crap Dell laptops/desktops and BB is fine (albeit slow on slow PCs).

Are you on subscription and using the latest BB version? Latest version of W10/11?

Before stating a software is the cause of your issues, you should detail more what you have, and what exactly happens. 99.999% this isn't a Bluebeam issue since this isn't a common/known issue with BB.

And if asking for software, you should state what functions you need. Do you need exactly what BB offers inc. the cloud-hosted reviews, Revit plugin etc.? Or do you just need a standalone PDF editor?

Revit Version: R2026.4
Hardware: i9 14900K, 64GB, Nvidia RTX 2000 Ada 16GB
Add-ins: ElumTools; Ripple-HVAC; ElectroBIM; Qbitec
