Toposolid critical improvements

Toposolids should be improved as follows:
a) allow align tools to work for shape points similar to how they work for floors

b) point editing and placement should work more similar to how topography used to work (copy points functionality, maintain elevation setting, etc.)

c) show contours while editing (absolutely critical)

d) contour generation based on the topo points should work equally well or better than topography used to work

I realize that splitting up requests is better, but these are all absolutely critical improvements for this new feature to be useful for designers.  The current status is a step back from 2023 topography / toposurface.

Thanks a lot for posting your ideas to the forums!   For improvements and feature ideas it would be best to submit them to the Revit Ideas here where you can share ideas for future product features directly with the Revit team and collaborate on existing suggestions with your peers.

Some of what you are asking for has me scratching my head because those capabilities already exist in 2025.

Thanks for the heads up on 2025! I had been working in 2024 for Toposolids.  Just downloaded 2025 and tested the toposolid tool and it does seem they have made some good improvements there - at least items b and c are now added - which is great!  Getting the alignment functionality for point handles similar to floors is now the main feature that would be important to have.  I have not tested enough to now how the contour generation compares to previous topography surfaces.   Unfortunately these wont help for my 2024 base projects, but it's good to see the improvements are coming. 

I will post the alignment request request to the ideas board per Jonathan's suggestion.
