Anybody knows how to make topography show its surface pattern in plan in hidden line mode?

Am I just being silly or is it the software being so illogically put together?

this is a screenshot of the situation as an example. There is topography around the swimming pool. The topo has the same material as the small triangle that is a floor with green covering. I tried using override but nothing seems to affect it.

Toposurface elements don't show surface patterns in Revit. They never have.  You could check this thread for possible other ways to indicate a pattern.

Thank you for your reply. I know these facts, I simply want Autodesk to take note of this and offer a solution after so many years. It really is ridiculous!

In this instance it should. Also, the materiality contains all the same pattern settings as every other element and are not greyed out in VG. So, even if topo and sub regions were not designed to show surface patterns, the net effect appears to be broken software.
