Hellooo
Hello I hope you are well I have a quick question , how I can model a garden on a roof I tried the topography but the solid ground appears in the cut suddenly I opted for a variable slab. I don't know if it's the right solution. Thanks, have a good day

Hi,
Yes this is a limitation, Revit should adress this. For instance a underground parking structure top soil can't be created with Topography.
The top is determined by the Surface foundary points and the bottom is set by the Elevation of poche base.
A variable Floorslab can be used, I prefer to use a Model in place, Topography family, so the category matches.

You could still do that with a topography. To avoid the earth pattern from getting into the rooms, go to Site Settings and set the "elevation of poche base" property to a small value, such as -1".
thank youu but i have already a topography in the 1st floor so if i will change settings my site will change too :///
in such a case, like yours , when having small piece of terrain, I'd rather use a Conceptual In Place Mass to create the infrastructure and then a Roof by Face over it in order to be able to use its Layers.

If there is already another topography with other settings, if you still want to do it with a topography, you could do it in a separate file, change the settings for the poche, and link that file into the building file.
