Toggle transparency shortcuts not working (EOT and VOT)

Hello,

I use the transparency property very often and I need a faster way to make an element transparent rather than going to Override Graphics menu and using the slider.

There are two predefined shortcuts in Revit:

Graphic Override by Element in View: toggle transparency: EOT

Graphic Override by Category in View: toggle transparency: VOT

I can't seem to make this 2 shortcuts work. I've tried them in different contexts, I've changed the shortcut keys...

I am using Revit 2020 and 2021.

Does anyone know how these two work?

Can anyone help me with a workaround for faster set of transparency (100% or intermediate value doesn't matter)

Thanks!

I see the topic got over 200 views and 0 replies. I'm looking for the same answer right now, so I guess I'll bump the thread.

Edit: Ok, I've spent way too much time searching the web and everything I could find was old threads from 2012-2014 or so with "have you tried EOT?". Nothing up to date. Did it use to be a toggle and now is a slider or what? I'm seriously tired of going to the graphics override to move the slider to 100% each and every time. And I'm frustrated, because I found the thing I was looking for in the keyboard shortcuts and it what, doesn't exist anymore, or am I too stupid to get it to work?

It also doesn't work in R2024.

Maybe it could help: how I sometimes manage Transparency is, that I use "Comment" parameter to distinguish between different elements and then I filter them by Comment and use Transparency in "Filter" dialog in View template to control transparency.

@anze.kumar Thanks for the reply. It is actually a great workaround. I think I'm going to refine my template sometime soon, so I'll probably include a filter like that.
