Titleblock Mystery

Hi all,

I was given this file to work in and had to update the titleblock with the date of the most recent bulletin. Parts of the titleblock are editable but the Issue/Revision section seems locked for editing. I'm not certain whether there's a way to activate the section and add a line to it. This may be a CAD link - in which case, is there any way I can find the link's specific name? There are a lot of poorly named CAD links in the document and it's tough to sift through.

I've attached a picture of the problem. As you can see, I've added a makeshift line underneath, but it obviously looks ugly and inconsistent.

I cannot really tell from a screen capture, but if the title block is set up to use the revision feature in Revit, you would need to create a new revision sequence for your project, use that when clouding revisions, and then the revision block will add the new revision for sheets where a revision is visible in a view.  (You can also manually add the revision sequence in the view properties.)

The previous revisions could have been shown by other means, if they are not part of a revision schedule in your title block family.

Thank you, that gives me some direction -- I added a revision sequence "Bulletin 14" and began redrawing the revision clouds, but Bulletin 14 did not show up on the titleblock. Is there a way to link revision clouds and tags to the current revision sequence? Did I fail to make the revision sequence current?

I solved the problem - I just had to unmark Bulletin 14 as Issued 🙂
