I'm trying to create a parameter that I can load to a label that allow me to add whatever text I want to it similar to the drawnby  label you can add to a titleblock. I tired and failed what I thought would work and could not find anything in the forums either.

TIA

It has been explained in multiple threads. To add a new, unique label, open the title block family, and add a new label > from a shared parameters file > new parameter > "My text" (for example) > data type: Text. Then place the label on the titleblock. Save and load titleblock into project. Once in the project, do Manage > project parameters > "My text" > applies to: Sheets if the label applies to individual sheets (or Project Information if the label applies to all sheets), grouped under Text. Now the label is ready for you to type information, either on the titleblock itself or from the properties of the sheet.

My Text only appears in the Shared Parameter dialog box and there is no Sheet group in the drop down parameter group option. Where can I find the multiple threads that walk one through the process?

Alfredo's explanation should get you there but I'll add... You have to define your parameter in the Titleblock family AND define it in the project. In the project you create a Project Parameter based on the Shared Parameter you used in the Titleblock family. When you are creating the Project Parameter you can/need to assign it to Sheets, choosing from the available list of categories in the list on the right side of the dialog.

I tried following the steps explained in this thread. I can add text in the sheet view's Identity data just fine, but nothing shows up in the custom labels that I placed in the Sheet view's title block. What am I missing? And can somebody post images or link an instruction video for this specific task? Assume that I know nothing and therefore need things explained in the smallest detail, because there is a chance I might miss something that's supposed to be "obvious".
