Tips for Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit for Architecture Design

Hi everyone,

I just took the test, and it was much harder than I expected. Most of them are practical/situational questions, but you cannot use the software to get the answers. I think they are more like practically theoretical questions.

Please share with me your tips to pass the test. Thank you.

Retake the test as quickly as possible.

I haven't any recent experience, but I did take the test a number of years ago and crashed and burned on the first go around.  A couple of days later I tested again and aced it.

That's my two-cents worth of advice.

Out of curiosity, what were the questions you missed?

Thanks for your advice. I'm planning to retake the test in the next 2-3 weeks. The actual test that I took was much harder than I expected because I thought it would be similar to the practice ones on the Autodesk website, cousera course, and Udemy course.

For your curiosity, I failed in Modelling and Collaboration 😞

Can I ask if the fee for the retake is the same as the first exam, or it's discounted?

That is disappointing that the official sample tests are simpler. At least now you know what to expect and can focus studying. I second the taking asap, assuming you have enough time to study.

I hate software tests that don't include using the software. Seems a bit besides the point of testing software skills if it doesn't, you know, include the software. I'm pretty sure I would suck at a Revit paper test even if I get myself through Revit every day (more or less).

Revit Version: R2026.2
Hardware: i9 14900K, 64GB, Nvidia RTX 2000 Ada 16GB
