I'm sorry for the mistakes but I'm still learning English.

I wanted you able to help me with a problem I have Revit (version 2015)?
Subcontractor made two models in separate files (building A and building B) and building A joined building B as reference and in our office easily open both files and after sending it to someone else who has Revit 2016 error occurs when opening file of building A and B :

„A fatal error has occurred. The application will be terminated. You have the opportunity to save recovery files for all of your changed projects. Would you like to save a recovery file?”

(but no problem opening a file with the Building B and the previous version of the same building A (before the addition of the building B))

Hi, Malgorzata,

Try an audit on the files when you open them in 2015. Also Purge (Manage tab) as much of the unused items as you can from the files. There is an add-in on the Autodesk Exchange Apps that is a Bulk File Upgrader...this may help with the upgrade from 2015-2016. Also make sure the person with 2016 has the latest service pack installed for 2016.
