The line weight of pre-selection for linked CAD file.

Dear Revit users and experts,

I just wonder why I sometimes see a thick line weight for the linked CAD file like below.

As I changed the color of line on Graphic setting, it was adjusted.

I assumed it might happen only when I zoom out on the screen and linked the file like this.

Line weight4.png

It won't bother much but I would like to know the reason since there is no setting for the line weight.

Thanks,

Yuki

Line weight is tied to the view scale. You can change the line weight by going to Manage > Additional Settings > Line Weights.
Hope this helps

Got Cannibus?  That might explain it.

All joking aside, I know exactly what you're talking about and I have experienced the same "phenom".  I never really thought seriously about until this thread. I always passed it off as a graphical hiccup, since it rarely happens.  I'm amazed that you can control it. I just tested and cannot. I did cause the pre-selection box to get thicker a couple of times purely by accident. Both times when zooming.

Fun thread.

Following...

p.s. my understanding is that Pre-Selection Color has nothing to do with Line Weight, and therefore, nothing to do with Scale.  It's just Color.  Maybe I'm wrong.
