In the attached pdf captured from a 1:100 floor plan the text in the section and elevation headers is a problem

The section and elevation symbols just have solid blocks instead of text - I have tried editing the Anno_Sec_Head symbol and I just get larger solid blocks.

I'm using a student version at home but have the same problem with my office copy of Revit.

Any ideas?

Once you place those views (the elevation and section) on a sheet, the dashes will go away, replaced by the detail number and sheet number.
