Text orientation of rotated and mirrored links in a shared site

Hi all,

I have a project where several linked models are loaded into a shared site.

Some of them are copies of one another and are attached to different locations on a shared site.

Now because of this, they are rotated or mirrored in place resulting in linked text orientation who do not match the original file.

Is there any fix for this?

See example:

Above selected links are the same but 180° rotated into place.

As you can see in detail now the text orientation of normal text and even tags are mirrored.

What version of Revit are you using? I made some tests using Revit 2023.1, and I see that Revit does a good job in keeping text readable in links that have been mirrored or rotated 180 degrees, even for tags that have two lines of text, one above, one below, those tags show the same in all the instances of the link.

This is modelled in v2023.1.

I'm afraid I' ll have to manually tag the beams in the links again, because even though the tags are marked "Keep Readable", they will always mirror or rotate with the Link in total.

Here a nice example of the structural framing tags mirrored:

Yes, if those tags display in reversed order, you will need to turn them off and tag again. But... why would you need to do that kind of annotation in the overall plan that shows all the units? Is that not for overall location, only? You could simply make callouts to indicate where to go to see the specific annotation of each unit.

Well, because I didn't know it wouldn't correct the tags ^^

I wanted to make an overview plan of the structural design and model the foundations in total, because the foundations overlap the building blocks.

I see... well, looks like you can get some of the information to display properly from the links, but not all. You will need to turn some tags off from the link, and tag them in the host file.
