Text field explodes and gets distributed

Hi everyone,

I am trying to create a custom layout in revit and it is not happening as it should.

The autocad file in discussion is just a layout with textfields in it. I want to create a custom plan templet in Revit from this Autocad file. The way I proceeded is this:

I created a .dwg consiting of just a layout with text in it in the model area. Then I purged the acutocad file of any extra layer or linetype. Then I imported the said .dwg to a new family in Revit. I used a layout templet from revit for this. Now the problems:

  1. The scale is not right. The .dwg is 1:25 and I have no idea what is the scale of revit layout templet. But I corrected this by scaling the .dwg data to revit using 'Scale' option. Please let me know if a more elegant solution exits (without dynamo).
  2. The data brought in from .dwg is a block and I need to explode it now. On exploding, the text again changes the scale and leaves the boxes in the layout. It is then spread over the rest of the display area. Also, it is constrained in these boxes whose boundary I am not able to change despite there being points to drag these boxes.

Please let me know how can I copy this layout from Autocad to Revit to create quickly a custom Templet.

Thank you.

use this title block family and modify to suit your needs. revit scale is 1:1 and see if helps.

Hi @ennujozlagam, thanks for the reply.

I am using the same title block but the problem with the text exploding out of their respective places still exists. At this point, my only viable choice is to delete all the text and write it again in the revit templet. Please let me know if there is any better option to save time.

Thank you.
