Surface area of mesh geometry

Hi everyone.

I have created a mesh geometry mass that I then used to create a curtain wall by face and I now need to calculate the surface area of the mesh (and therefore the surface area of the curtain wall.)

The problem is that the paint by material and a material schedule is not working, because the geometry is a mesh and has no surface area. Can anyone help me?

I got an answer. The obvious way was to use the curtain wall to calculate the surface area, except in this case the "curtain wall" was a secondary facade with about one million transoms. The solution was to use the mass geometry to create a second curtain wall, but with just the panels, and use that in a take off schedule to calculate the total surface area. I also used a temp project phase as a filter.

Create a wall or roof by face to calculate the surface area.

Even better!
