sun path

Hi,

after building my model, is it possible to play with the sun path and change it's east west etc and so on? 

Technically revit considers north as top of map and south as bottom if i haven't used any coordinates?

When using enscape, the sun path is different and isn't correct. How is it possible to fix this?

Play with rotating True North.

The Sun Path in Revit are driven by 2 main Factors + (several other minor variables which you can find under sun settings)

1. Project Location (defined under Manage >> Location >> Location/Site)
2. True North (you can input that into the project base point)

If you haven't set any of the above...Enscape will assume that the Location/Site is ...most probably the default location set in Revit: Boston, and the angle to true north is 0) => You are getting the Wrong Sun Path in Enscape

Define the above properly and your problem in Enscape is solved

ok, so i did as you said- set the project location and true north to the right location but is there any possible way to fix this without moving the whole model? as there are items that are locked and pinned.

The north of Revit (top part of screen) is the north of my project aswell because of the way i inserted the map at the beginning but specifically enscape changes the direction of the sun. Revit's sun direction is correct, or so it seems at least.

Setting location does not move the elements it moves the model...It resets Internal origin/ and base point with respect to the world coordinates system 0,0,0

As for the Sun path Revit vs Enscape ... Enscape model should inherit the setting from the exported Revit model...is your Enscape plugin up to date?

Otherwise in ENscape either of the following

1. CTRL + U or I to change the solar rotation.
2. Shift + U or I and change the solar angle.

So setting location should be enough to move the model? even though survey point and project base point stay 0,0,0. makes sense though that if setting location moves the model, enscape should work correct but each time i open it i need to redo the sun position and angle.
