Hi everyone.

Does anyone know how to make a tag that will give passage height under the beam at the floor plan?

(Between the beam and the floor)

Maybe change the Level of your beam?

"Elevation at Bottom" I would think. No?

I tried and looks like the Elevation at Bottom always report the elevation from Level 0 no matter which level this beam is Referenced.

I couldn't find any other Parameters except the Reference Level Elevation, so I think maybe just create a Calculate Parameter us these 2 parameters to get the height from the reference plane to the bottom of the beam.

Not sure if this is proper or not... Please let me know if I am wrong.

Hi

calculated parameter <Elevation at Bottom - Reference Level Elevation>
always give a negative result.

I tried to add some shared parameters, but its problem with Level under. Revit cant recognize automatycly. 😞

Is the reference plane of the top beam in your first image Level 4 with a 0 Start Level Offset and End Level Offset?

In this case, you will get the negative height of the beam height.

Set the reference plane of that beam to Level 3 and the tag will give you the clear height from level 3 to the bottom of the beam.

Although this will give you the height, there is no parameter to show the reference name except the Reference Plane Leve.

Maybe you should not tag the beam for that clearance, just use dimensions in elevations.

Why not use Z Offset Value ? That would work with Bottom Justification Beam.
