I just got Revit LT. I work in Film/TV and use AutoCAD, Rhino and Sketchup as my main software. Work in our industry is similar to architecture in what our creations look like, but ours are facsimiles without building codes and of short lifespans. (from hours to maybe few years) I was just wondering if anyone here works in entertainment or could point me to a forum of people who do?

I am fairly sure Revit was used for a number of sets in the movie iRobot with Will Smith and was used for a number of sets in the Watchmen movie.
I can't find any articles about it, but pretty sure I have seen references to this in the past.
As for a particular forum, I am not aware of anything like that but of course I am not working in that industry.
I was told that Revit was used to model "real" Penrose Stairs for the movie "Inception". True?
.. hi @CalypsoArt
.... of course REVIT can be used for FILM and STAGE
.... take look at this chapter 26 (attached)
... from mastering REVIT architecture 2011
... it shows some examples of those spaces created and design in REVIT

I first learned about Revit in 2012 from someone using it for TV. But he was the only one I ever encountered. Thanks for the link to the pdf. What I would also like is to connect with others using it in the industry so I might get pointers, or templates, etc., that would speed up the learning process. Revit is so different from how I build in other software. (Sketchup, AC, Rhino)
I'm not aware of a Revit forum dedicated to your line of work but I have seen people doing the same work in these forums, and the forums at Revitforum.org and AUGI.com. Those are the "big three" Revit forums we have all "grown up" with using Revit. These days you might find some interesting stuff at Reddit too but I don't venture there myself.
