Strange View Range Behavior of In Place Mass

I created an In Place Mass from a .dwg by copying the imported .dwg and aligned to a level within the In Place Mass.

Youtube video link Revit Snippet: How to show DWG as cut in all views)

I then deleted the .dwg but kept the In Place Mass (Site Category was used as well as Generic Model - same result).

During initial tests the view range seemed to work ok. But when trying to place the view range between pipes within the model it behaves strangely.

It only cuts the pipes when the cut plane is set between 1110 and 1239mm above the UC level. At all other levels, the pipes arent cut.

I could only attached the snippets of the behaviour, but the view of "Cut Plane-1110" behaves the same for all offsets between 1110 and 1239mm, but does not cut any pipes below or above these values.
