How can I place a text label in the elevation view of a family?

I'm working on a project with a lot of wall-mounted panels, which need to be labeled appropriately in both plan and elevation. I've created a basic text label family with a parameter to label these panels in plan, but Revit will not let me place this same family in the elevation, giving the error "Can't create this kind of element in this view in the current mode."

Is there any known workaround for this, to allow for the placement of text controlled by a parameter in a family's elevation view? I'd rather not have to individually place individual annotation texts in the elevation views of the project, or create a separate family for each different panel type in the project.

If it matters, I'm using Revit 2022.

What about a Tag in the Project. Tag All in View is pretty painless. Other than that, you can use Model Text in Family Elevation.  FWIW.
