Step in the Slab - Linework

Hello,

I am trying to model a step in a slab as shown in the picture. the upper levels and lower levels are shown.

I used linework to make the line of lower slab edge shown in red circle as (hidden line) . which went perfect.

Then in the section shown, when I join the two slabs with "Join" to make them 1 component. the hidden line becomes solid and I can not select it to change its linework .

Is there a solution to that.

Have you tried the cut tool...? try it first if doesn't work then Create a extrusion void family and bring into the model and just cut the anyone of the slab.. It works Perfectly
