Steel Detailing with Revit

We use consultant structural engineers with BIM 360 cloud collaboration but have not found any steel detailers that use any sort of Revit tool that can also be added in.   The ones we have use TEKLA

  1. Is this an appropriate forum to ask...
  2. Can anyone refer steel detailers that use BIM 360 and Revit to produce their work?
  3. Is there any good co-ordination tool from Revit to TEKLA?

You might get more traction by posting on the Structural Forum.

Check out his solutions. They are all his own and they don't actually state the solutions. Funny.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

What sort of structural engineers don't do details?

Steel "detailing" is the term used for the fabrication drawings done by the steel fabricator.  Not details by the structural engineer.  The engineer an architect then spend an inordinate amount of time making sure the detailers drawings are in line with their intentions, all of which would be eliminated if the detailer and fabricator were working off the revit model

So you mean people who create steel shops drawings.  Then I doubt you will find any using Revit and stay competitive.
